Part I: Dreams of Memories | Part II: Waking Life | Part III: The End of All Things
(Notes)

Fandom | Cast: Final Fantasy X. Braska-centric without a doubt. Auron and Jecht, of course, and a bit of young Yuna. Big roles for the aeons/fayth — most especially Bahamut and Shiva, but plenty for Ixion, Ifrit, and Valefor too.
Rating | Warnings: PG, so very gen. Spoilers for the whole game. Canonical character death, death of a bystander with slightly gory detail.
For: [livejournal.com profile] darthneko's prompt in [livejournal.com profile] ff_exchange 2007 - "FFX: Braska, summoning"
Betas: [livejournal.com profile] owlmoose, [personal profile] renay, [personal profile] seventhe, with more thanks than I can say
Total Word Count: 43,500
Summary: Bahamut has a plan. Braska has a purpose. The two don't always coincide, and a pattern slowly grows, drawn in light on stone. A three-part arc detailing Braska's path to becoming a High Summoner.

Chapter Title: Part III - The End of All Things
Chapter Word Count: 18,800
Chapter Summary: As his pilgrimage continues, Braska descends into a world of dreams and memories, conflicting loyalties and united hope. And one burning question that Braska will have answered.

Daily Doodle: I wasn't expecting two serious drawings in a row. But I'm really pleased with this concept. Definitely needs some dark, moody colouring. I know there are some issues, but overall, for something done in one sitting, I am super pleased. Feedback super welcome!

@[livejournal.com profile] ff_press: [FFX] [livejournal.com profile] justira: Auron portrait doodle (Auron) (G)

Daily Doodle: Hey guys! Did you know drawing Auron is hard? Especially when you can't cover 3/4 of his face with his glasses or... collar-thing?? Yeah! Who knew! I tried a semi-realism experiment today, even going so far as to start from a grey background and work in both directions, using white and black! Wow! I am so not proud of this! But that's just too bad, I have to post it anyway! =D
I just could not get his face/jaw shape right. Ugh. Well! Basically I am displeased with this and won't complain more, as I would never stop. >(
Time: 40 mins! Went over again trying vainly to fix this! Grrrrrr...

Title: SPACE ADVENTURES
Fandom: Final Fantasy X
Theme: (HUGE TA-TA's) IN SACE at [livejournal.com profile] ff_100
Characters/Pairings: Auron, Braska, Jecht, bit of implied slashing of the three.
Rating: PG? PG-13?
Warnings: CRACK AU AHOY. Maybe light spoilers?
Words: 152 + 238 + 177 = 567
Crit/Feedback: I lurves it, even on COMPLETE CRACK like this.
Notes: This can be blamed entirely on two people: [livejournal.com profile] delladella for posting the CRACKTASTIC THEME at [livejournal.com profile] ff_100, and [livejournal.com profile] bottle_of_shine for coming up with the idea of SPACE PIRATE JECHT and then not having the time to write it herself. More notes and apologies below.

Summary: Auron, Braska, and Jecht, unwitting space pirates searching for the lost planet Zanarkand! Includes encounters with shoopufs, spittakes, and mention of HUGE TA-TA's IN SPACE!

Title: Moments of Regret: Ascending Spiral, Heavy Shit, Old Friends
Fandom: Final Fantasy X
Theme: Regret ([livejournal.com profile] ff_100) / Moment in time [74] ([livejournal.com profile] pyre_flies)
Characters/Pairings: Auron/Braska/Jecht
Rating: PG-13 for implied naughty
Words: 129 + 178 + 125 = 432
Crit/Feedback: Both are very welcome =)
Notes: I started this for the [livejournal.com profile] ff_100 FFX/Regret challenge but got frustrated and dropped it for a while. I came back, edited it, restructured it to fit both themes ([livejournal.com profile] ff_100 and [livejournal.com profile] pyre_flies), and finished the last part, and now I'm mostly satisfied. I have additional gripes and notes below.
PS: I swear I'll finish and submit my FFIX/The roads we walk drabble soon >.>

OH MY GOD I FAIL AT SCANNING ;______________________________;

But here we go, next doodle dump for the meme where you are, as always, welcome to request something! Just, uh, be aware, people seem to be taking me at my word here and now there is a WAIT. I am a little terrified but also very flattered ^^;

Usual disclaimer: these are doodles! By definition, they are not excellent! I do one of these every day, amongst all the other stuff I do and write and long-term drawing projects and blah, so, uh, yeah. Someday I will FINISH another drawing and upload that and you can see what it looks like when I take more then 10-30 minutes to do something >.>;;

Okay! I am going to do this in chronological order, because [livejournal.com profile] muggy_mountain has been patiently waiting FOREVER for her promised nekkid Auron (although I made him way skinny. WHY). AND HERE HE FINALLY IS:

And [livejournal.com profile] lambspam your Jasmine is finally here, with BONUS KITTY that I cheated and added later before inking the whole thing cause you've been waiting ;_; She was inked in brush pens, which are possibly the best thing ever.

PISCPAM -- 8 more doodles under cut, HOSHIT >.> )

Whew okay, also! I am going to be on a plane this Friday through Saturday and will have spotty scanner access for the next week or two. I'll keep doodling, but, uh, scandumps will be sporadic (like they haven't been up till now, ha) and also there will be LACK OF PHOTOSHOP. For me this means CRY but for y'all it means you don't have to suffer through my attempts at colour XD
Title: The Fondest Irony
Fandom: Final Fantasy X
Characters/Pairing: Jecht, Auron, and Braska. Their relationship is not intended to be taken in any particular way, although I maintain that whatever bond they share, it is a strong one.
Rating: PG for serious themes. Surprisingly, Jecht is in the (very general) vicinity but I don't think it merits a PG-13. Shocking, I know.
Word Count: 2,500ish
Spoilers: Mild through the late middle of the game or so. Intended for those who have finished the whole thing, though.
Feedback: Yes please! I love concrit, and I don't bite, honest!
Notes: This was an attempt to flesh Braska's character out a little bit, since I love him but his characterization in the game is pretty flat. I give profuse thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bottle_of_shine for being enthusiastic and very encouraging, to [livejournal.com profile] tairako for taking a look at the draft and helping with it so much, and to [livejournal.com profile] regann for being willing to discuss and speculate on canon in general and Braska and other pre-game issues in particular.
Disclaimer: FFX and characters belong to Square Enix, not me.

Summary: Braska has developed a high appreciation of irony, but when Jecht accepts the truths of their situation, and Auron of his actions, there are some ironies even Braska can't face. And then there are the ironies he holds most dear. Pre-game. Read the relationships between the three as you will.

Braska felt uneasy as he watched Jecht mutter a vague excuse and get up to rummage in his pack. )
