Daily Doodle: Ahaha I am totally giving myself ulcers out of stress and worrying about my story that I have now given to my betas and oh my god I am going to throw up a lot. SO I am taking all of my nerves out on Zidane >.>

Daily Doodle: Look! It is not a cat-goat or any other sort of animal! ... unless monkey-tailed scoundrels count >.>

Uh... not much to say? I ship Zidane/Garnet super hard, but come on, Blank/Zidane is... not very resistible. Also, FFIX proportions can bite me.

Rated PG13 for makeouts and incipient disrobing.

Time: cripes I don't even know. 3 hours? Way too long. Got absorbed.

Title: Monkey Around
Fandom: Final Fantasy IX
Characters/Pairings: Garnet and Zidane
Rating: G!
Notes: I drew this to for [livejournal.com profile] wheatear for submitting her FANTASTIC Quina drabble to last week's [livejournal.com profile] ff_100 theme, FFIX: The roads we walk. I said I'd draw something for everyone who entered, and so this is the first of those. She asked for "Zidane monkeying around". To me, anything involving his tail counts, so I hope this is okay ^^;

I am REALLY proud of this one. It was also done entirely in tablet, and I'm just ecstatic that my tablet control seems to be improving so much. I also managed to not completely mangle a fairly unusual pose for Zidane. The hands and feet I'm especially proud of, and Garnet's hair. I'm (as always) less proud of the fabric, but at least it's not awful! There's still plenty of flaws, but overall I'm extremely pleased with my progress =D

This is the slightly sketchy version. A cleaner version is up on [ deviantArt ]. I just couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I have both up in different places ^^;

Title: A Light of Truer Blue
Fandom: FFIX
Characters/Pairings: Vivi and Zidane
Rating: G
Words: 138/300 (134 fic + 162 canon = 300)
Spoilers: Through end of game
Crit/Feedback: Both are very welcome =)
Notes: Written for FFIX:"The roads we walk" challenge at [livejournal.com profile] ff_100This drabble uses the entirety of what I believe to be Vivi's narration from the very end of the game. I really wanted to set this up as a kind of dialogue, though -- more specifically, as if Zidane was reading a note Vivi left and thinking about it as he read -- so this seemed necessary. I hope this is okay! More in my notes below.

Title: Reach
Fandom: Final Fantasy IX
Characters: Vivi and Zidane
Rating: so G it hurts
Notes: I drew this to promote the current challenge at [livejournal.com profile] ff_100, which is FFIX: The roads we walk (psst! if you're into FFIX at all SUBMIT DRABLES FOR THE CHALLENGE!). I was initially just going to draw dZidane by himself, but I decided that was boring and decided to try and draw him interacting with someone. Seeing as my own drabble submission for the challenge was going to involve Zidane and Vivi, I started sketching and came up with some line art I thought was good enough to colour.

This was done entirely in tablet, and I'm actually extremely proud of how much my tablet line art has improved. I went for a very simple colouring job this time, but I really like this concept and plan to come back someday to clean up the line art, colour it properly, and do this idea justice.

I've never drawn either of these guys before. I tried a lot of new things here, including flat colours and coloured lines. It was very fun!
