bottle_of_shine. I hope you like it! I know you saw this in progress, but here is the finished lineart, finally. I'll be colouring this one for sure, but, uh, I have a backlog of other gift art I gotta do for FFIX participants from

ff_100 not to mention various One Piece stuff, so that'll have to wait.

This is fan art of a sort for

bottle_of_shine's story, The True Story of the Butterfly and the Bumblebee. Definitely inspired by it, but I'm pretty sure it's not quite true to the scene. I think I'm continuing to improve at tablet lineart and maybe even anatomy but I will never, ever get the hang of fabric. There's problems, as usual, but overall I'm reasonably pleased =)

Title: Monkey Around

Notes: I drew this to for

wheatear for submitting her FANTASTIC Quina drabble to last week's

ff_100 theme, FFIX: The roads we walk. I said I'd draw something for everyone who entered, and so this is the first of those. She asked for "Zidane monkeying around". To me, anything involving his tail counts, so I hope this is okay ^^;

I am REALLY proud of this one. It was also done entirely in tablet, and I'm just ecstatic that my tablet control seems to be improving so much. I also managed to not completely mangle a fairly unusual pose for Zidane. The hands and feet I'm especially proud of, and Garnet's hair. I'm (as always) less proud of the fabric, but at least it's not awful! There's still plenty of flaws, but overall I'm extremely pleased with my progress =D

Notes: I drew this to promote the current challenge at

ff_100, which is FFIX: The roads we walk (psst! if you're into FFIX at all SUBMIT DRABLES FOR THE CHALLENGE!). I was initially just going to draw dZidane by himself, but I decided that was boring and decided to try and draw him interacting with someone. Seeing as my own drabble submission for the challenge was going to involve Zidane and Vivi, I started sketching and came up with some line art I thought was good enough to colour.

This was done entirely in tablet, and I'm actually extremely proud of how much my tablet line art has improved. I went for a very simple colouring job this time, but I really like this concept and plan to come back someday to clean up the line art, colour it properly, and do this idea justice.

I've never drawn either of these guys before. I tried a lot of new things here, including flat colours and coloured lines. It was very fun!

Okay! So, umh, I love Avatar with mouth and uh, have been corrupted by

bottle_of_shine into YET ANOTHER mildly violent, snarky, grumpy, and completely unpopular pairing. And wonder of wondres, I decided to like actual art for it. Not a doodle! This should illustrate yo you how much I adore this pairing.

More Notes! On the other hand, lookit! I drew FEET. And they even kind of look like feet! Jecht wears blessedly few clothes, which works quite well for me on several levels -- I don't have to draw complicated outfits (*cough*WAKKA*cough*). The other benefits are probably ovious to Jecht fans already. I'm also proud of myself for managing to find a pose that showed off Jecht's wrap... thingy... and his tattoo without having to deal with all the armour on his left arm >.>;; Also, first time drawing Jecht. Woot.
