[Daily Doodle] Girl in colour

Well! January was pretty terrible. An extension of 2009, not a new year! what lies!

In all seriousness I had a pretty tough time, and it threw me way, way off. I'm so behind.

Soooo.... because I can't leave well enough alone, well!

I'm pretty terrible with colours. I have no confidence, they take forever... etc. Sounds like a job for a self-improvement project! I used to try to do a weekly colour, but I realized that that was just not enough, not for colour-avoidance as severe as mine.

So, this month (the shortest month, ha) I can ONLY do coloured stuff. No black and white. No greyscale. Except for requests — those can be b/w. So my choices this month are: learn to colour, or catch up on my requests =P

For the record, I have 3 requests, 3 sketch/line art charity commission thingies, and one full-colour of same.


Daily Doodle: Day 1? I did look at a photo for this but... less to colour-match exactly or do a likeness and more just to have something to look at. And also because that girl's hair is awesome. I still can't do hair. But at least I didn't do even a bit of eyedropping? Sigh.
Time: aw geez like 2 hours? somewhere between 1.5 and 2.5 hours; I was doing other stuff at the time too
