[Daily Doodle] Obama Speedpaint

Daily Doodle: Happy Birthday, man. You aren't everything I ever wanted in a president, but I'm not sure how much better we can do. Plus you just seem a rockin' kind of guy, totally separate from president or what.

Tried another speedpaint, since I realized it was Obama's birthday and it seemed like a good excuse to try drawing someone who wasn't white. I really should try to draw more different skin tones =\

I used two refs for this one, so I hope you can see that it's not exactly like either of them: [ ref #1 ] [ ref #2 ] **

I think this one is turning out better than the last one. I had a lot of fun with warm oranges here, and threw purple all over the place. Also a lot less eyedropping this time! Most colours here are totally original, just stuff I threw on there. Fun fact: all the "blacks" on there (eyes, eyebrows, hair) are actually really dark greens =D

I didn't even start trying on his hair -- sorry dude, workday's over. Maybe I'll come back to it later. But I really should practice different hair types, too.

As before, this is at 100%, the exact size I worked at.

If nothing else, I hope he's recognizable!

**(By the way, a simple Google search for "obama" for pics turned up pretty appalling amounts of really racist imagery. Christ.)
