Daily Doodle: OKAY. I have always found Larsa EXCEEDINGLY difficult. Exceedingly. What I sacrificed in time on this one, well... I'm not sure the likeness makes up for it, but it sure as diddly is the best I've done for him so far. Suggestions on the likeness welcome — I know the lighting/shading is a little funky, and suggestions there are always appreciated as well, but I can generally figure that out if I work at it hard enough, while the secrets of likeness just plain elude me. Anyway. Here he is, my favourite 12-year-old in the universe. (Boy am I having fun trying to write him in the ridiculously political sequel to Alchemies...)

I like the expression on this one, too; he's so thoughtful. I think the likeness is generally good. The only thing I might suggest is that his face is a little too round? Rounded cheeks and chin, and the brow might be a little high. The eyes and nose and hair are really on, though.

His irises are two different sizes, the one on the right should be a bit smaller in height (eyes are a bitch, to be fair), and I think he needs cheekbones but it's def Larsa. Looks awesome.

I think his chin and cheeks are a little too soft/round, but he has an awesome Larsa expression, and I love his hair.

His faceshape seems a bit off -- too much babyfat -- but his expression is dead on. I really like his eyes.

I am really bad at critiquing art, but the right eye (from my perspective, so I guess his left eye) looks kind of...odd? Pointing the wrong direction? I don't know.
