[Art] One Piece - Conis and Suu Coloured (G)
Title: uhhh Conis and Suu I guess?
Fandom: One Piece
Characters/Pairings: Conis and Suu >.>
Rating: G
Crit/Feedback: As always! =D
Notes: Long story short: I stopped colouring for a while, and then every time I tried I got too frustrated because it looked horrid. For years. Then yesterday I decided that if I wanted to colour, I should just bloody finish something, and then colouring should get easier (and hopefully better) every time. So I pulled out this old lineart and sat my ass down and finished it. It's plenty flawed, but I'm proud of myself for taking the first step in colouring recovery =)

A/N: I know there are flaws in this, but like I said, I'm just proud of myself for finally just doing it, and I hope to colour much more from now on. That said, I of course always love feedback =D

ps, I forgot you were going to Reed until Nay mentioned it the other night... I totally live right up Woodstock if you ever have time/inclination to do stuff.

Interwebs, you so crazy!
We should totally hit up any of the 10 bajillion nearby coffeeshops =D
And also, thanks for the comment! Practice is of course exactly what I'm lacking at this point, so I will assume this will get better. I'm using Photoshop, but I have been told to also try OpenCanvas or Painter. At the moment I don't have the resources (computer/money availability) to get either, but I'm hoping to get a new station soon. What do you think, should I try those other programs? I looooonnng for a painterly look as opposed to the vaguely plastic-y airbrush effect that is kind of Photoshop's default. I know you can finagle PS into doing that too but uhhh I am still working on getting it to do that >.>

I use painter almost exclusively for digital coloring. I loooove it. The only thing I use photoshop for is image resizing and color editing because painter isn't as good at those things. You can download a trail version from the corel website. I recommend just going through and trying out all the brushes until you get the look you want. I've used open canvas as well but to me it's too much like photoshop. It's just a matter of finding the program that is intuitive to you.

Oh, and turns out that the traffic in old town that made me hand up on you? Multiple-cop car incident of some sort in the very middle of town. Good times.
