I had been peripherally aware that he was busily upsetting the gender police all over the place (♥) but I was incapable of NOT taking a personal interest when he was doing it to Lady Gaga's music... beautifully!
I've actually been a (very) casual skating fan since I could remember, but I largely just liked the abstracts (athleticism, skill, ice dancing, flow, how beautiful it all can be) rather than the personalities. I'm not even sure I'm a fan of Johnny-Weir-the-particular-skater (though I do enjoy his work), but I am definitely a fan of Johnny-Weir-the-hip-shimmier-and-corset-wearer XD
