[Daily Doodle] Iroh from Avatar (MS Paint again)

Daily Doodle: There is no need to explain why I would want to draw Iroh. He is just that awesome. MS Paint again, so the file is big, sorry! I think I did... okay. I had also noticed that all my 3/4 views had been facing left, so I did one facing right =P Doing any kind of cartoonish style in Paint is hard! I am somewhat proud =)
Oh! Production note: I totally did this without any kind of guidelines or wireframe or anything. Check it out. It was... just start drawing, fix what needs it later. And by golly, it wasn't a disaster =D (some balance/proportion issues, but not bad for no-guides!)

I don't know Avatar but this is REALLY good! I always find anyone old or with facial hair to be really hard to get proportional and correct, so I'm impressed with this, like a lot. :)

Avatar is awesome; you should totally check it out if you get the chance =)

And yes, one of the reasons I decided to try Iroh is because he doesn't look like every other fresh and spry young thing I've been drawing XD I'm glad he turned out pretty well! It was a fun challenge =)

That's really good to hear -- I've been a bit nervous wondering if my flist felt like they were being spammed. Makes me feel way better =D

And-- noses! Can be so hard! Iroh's good practice because he has such a distinctive nose =D

Dude Rina why are you into all these fandoms that I love. I never knew these things! After some stalking of your journal tags I see you are a fan of Zuko and also Zuko/Katara. Pretty much I have a hard time playing favourites in Avatar because everyone is just that awesome but man, watching Zuko change over the course of the series was AMAZING and full of WHAT and SQUEE. Also, uh, yes, uh, I know Aang/Katara is DESTINED TO BE and where the series was headed all along and I like them well enough but OH MY GOD the sparks just FLY between Zuko and Katara. I'm just sayin'. I ship them (among many others) but tend to stay quiet about it, because that part of Avatar fandom is a little um. Yeah. .____.

(There seem to be a number of fandoms where I am afraid to venture out because of the crazy. Final Fantasy and One Piece are pretty much the only ones I'm un-shy enough to putz around in. It's not that everyone in the other fandoms is crazy, it's just that it's hard to find anyone else to connect to in the morass =\)

Oh, I'm fucking terrified of the Avatar fandom, for serious. I just ship Zuko/Katara quietly in my head (and consider writing Zuko/Mai porn but that's just cause....yeah.)

So one of these days (and this is utterly wodhaund's fault!!!) I am going to write the crossover where Zuko and Kain try to prove which one has farther to go to redeem himself. and end up in bed.

A lot of these things, I discovered while you were on hiatus to write your thesis! Don't feel bad! XD

I used to like Weiß Kreuz a lot but that fandom freaking terrifies me.
