[Daily Doodle] Sokka, looking a little lecherous? What?
Daily Doodle: So I drew Yue a couple of days ago, so I figured I'd give Sokka a shot. APPARENTLY I'd forgotten how much of a bitch he is to get on-model. I consider this one kind of fail, but at least I discharged my daily doodle duty for the day. Sigh! Trav actually put his finger on the perpetual problem with Sokka (that a lot of people have, from what I gather): it will generally be recognizable as Sokka but will always feel a little off. It's that last stretch going from "I guess that's Sokka" to "woah that is definitely him!" that is the big bitch.

CAN I HAVE A HELL YES
It is seriously high quality stuff. If nothing else, the fight choreography and animation is dripping hot. Just wait until you get to where you can watch a variety of different bending styles square off, like fire vs. water. It's awesome, each bending art in the series is associated with a particular fighting style that suits the element, and the amount of effort and research that went into making the martial arts in this world believable really shows.
Plus there is also the rich, developed world, the awesome characters, the great story, and also it is very often funny! It's got a very good mix of humour and serious business. Just all around good stuff. I don't remember if the first few episodes give it a fair showing, but I think they do? Give it a shot anyways; it's actually earned all the fuss over it.
