Just a note.

I love Faramir.

He was my very very favourite character in Lord of the Rings.

Sure, I liked Aragorn, and Sam, and Gimli was funny, and Gandalf was awesome, and Merry and Pippin gave a heart and happiness to the story, and Frodo, Frodo, Frodo.

But no. Deep down? Faramir was my favourite character.

Even the butchered version in the movies.

Man. I love him.

That is all.

They gave his role to Arwen, yeah? Cause Tolkien's women aren't grrrl-powery enough or something.

Screw that. I was pissed, personally.

Oh, and while we're on the subject of Peter Jackson suckage -- you remember the moment when Aragorn brings the ships in to the battle in the third book?

That. Was. My. Goddamn. Favourite. Moment.

I loved that. I'm really undersinspired by Tolkien's writing in general. The man can weave a story and build a world, but he really, really can't write. Well, maybe part of it is the style of the day, but normally his writing does nothing for me.

However. That moment.

Man. I was there. It was magestic, it was dramatic, and I loved it SO DAMN MUCH.

I was looking forward to seeing it in the movies SO BAD.

And. Well. It really wasn't worth the wait.

Ugh.

Yeah ;_; *sulks* seriously~ Arwen is just sposed to be like~ that one chick, yeah, remember her from the beginning of the books? Well she's at the end, too~

Boo for the ships >.> it was really rather underwhelming~ I actually really enjoyed that part of the books as well - along with my Glorfindel parts - I'm strangely comforted by the fact that I'm not the only one who thinks his writing style is~ well~ boring >.> beautiful ideas~ amazing story~ really, really boring way of telling it~ the Silmarilion was a bit better but~ still >.>

>( stoopid moviemakers, ruining all the GOOD parts - why can't they just KEEP the good parts and ruin the boring ones?! Srsly! They did such a damn fine job of the forming of the Fellowship, but I could have happily slept through that all if~ say~ the parts I WANTED were done right!

Meh~ now I am ranty (and sweaty) I'll stop now ^^

Good God! Another Faramir lover?

Dear me. And it thought I was all alone.

Any care to tell me why him? XD

I'm actually planning to reread the damn thing, just to see him again. Though maybe this time in Spanish, to practice. I'm woefully behind >.>

Because of the whole relationship with his dear ol' dad--I can pretty much relate. My sister's Boromir and I'm Faramir. Even though she's younger :| But that's one of the main reasons.

Also, in the movies I really did like his actor. One main reason I did was because the only other movies I've seen him in, he's actually the comic relief. So I was impressed that he could get out of that bit :3
