I love everything about this post, and, by association, you as well. I keep going back to Heidi's post from August 31, the day before they finally, haphazardly, asked for money in a single post, about how she had tried, and been frustrated by, the Pepsi Refresh Project application process "last month"-- whether that was the beginning of August, or July, I can't tell. Which means that not only did they do a bad job of asking for funds from their own community, they did it after they had already tried to get into the Pepsi thing already. I can't even fathom that; it's just not how fandom as I understand it operates.

Pepsi sucks. I had no idea how much until I started looking at the numbers. It is just piteously awful-- both the tiny (for them) amount of money involved, and the way they make people compete for it. The more I look at it, the more horrified I am.
