Hey so your prompt stated something really awful and I think it might be called an addiction. Somewhere shortly after starting this thing this kind of became one of my very favourite pairings EVER???

I am REALLY REALLY GLAD that you like it cause uh, guess what IT'S FOR YOU so your opinion is kind of the one that matters! So uh! I had like panic attacks and nerves and Sev and Nay spent many days/nights holding my hand over email and IM while I freaked the hell out over this story and about whether you'd like and just in general flipping my shit XDDD

(Seriously Sev and Nay deserve like medals for putting up with what a basketcase I've been this month, what with this story on top of modding and aaaaauuuugh BUT I had fun working on this. A lot of fun.)

So! I tried really, really hard to respect each and every character. I knew from your prompt/DNW that you really preferred equal partnerships, so uh, I hope Vaan and Noah are up to snuff here!

Penelo was kind of what tied the story together for me. She made me a bit nervous, and I tried not to have her be too lecture-y or all sweetness and light. I mean, Noah hurt her, too.

Oh! The dog metaphors! There was some line in canon about the Empire's faithful hound, and then Gabranth himself says that even strays have pride. I think I kind of. Picked those up ran. Far. >.>

I AM sorry I couldn't produce more makeouts or sexy times for you in this story. I just. It took so much to get them even to the point where this story ends. I tried so hard to respect all the characters, and all the difficulties, because to me at least, that's part of the appeal of the pairing, you know? How fraught it is. So I was hoping it was the same for you, and tried to really get into that.

I really, really wanted to take it further (GOD BELIEVE ME, I OFFICIALLY LOVE THIS PAIRING), but in the end, I had to decide where this particular story ended and a new one began. So. This is a redemption story, like I said. I hope it's still what you wanted for these guys!

Anyway, uh. I'm SO happy to hear that you enjoyed this; you have no idea XD

I'm also grateful that you gave me the opportunity to really expand my writing horizon. This is the most ambitious thing I've done yet, I think, and it gives me a lot of hope for the other projects I have planned. So! Thank you =)
